PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF THE CHANGES BELOW (effective 7/6/09) FROM GREG UNERTL, HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL PHARMACY DIRECTOR:

1) See attached letter regarding sample policy at the Two Rivers Health Center, aka Karl Larson Clinic, linked below. HFM will now prefer vouchers over samples. NOTE: HFM is developing a limited samples list. They will have policies and procedures put in place for review, adds, deletes, etc.
NEWPTA President comment: Please hold off contacting HFM regarding this list until we have had a chance to work on the policy with them. This will help both sides foster joint and mutual expectations.

2) Holy Family Memorial Medical Center is announcing a cancellation of all drug displays that were scheduled for the hospital itself. This is not a cancellation of those displays previously set up for HFM Clinics in Manitowoc and Two Rivers - This is the hospital only.

The rationale for the cancellation was the fact that we have gone to a hospitalist system and, as a result, access to prescribers is very limited.

Displays are in place for the Cardiology Clinic already and the hospitalists do join those displays when they have time. The Oncology Clinic has set their displays/talks with representatives already.

There has been minimal attendance due to a scheduling issue.
